Dear Retro Velo Projects team,
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the excellent work you did on my beloved Raleigh 753 bike. This bike was built by Gerald O'Donovan at the Ilkeston Specialist Cycle division in 1983 and has been my faithful companion for many years. Thanks to your expert upgrades and servicing, it feels like a new bike again.
From the moment I dropped it off with you, I knew I was in good hands. Your team took the time to listen to my concerns and provided me with detailed information about the work that needed to be done. They kept me informed throughout the entire process, and even provided me with photos and updates along the way. When I picked up my bike, I was thrilled with the results. It looked and felt better than I could have ever imagined.
I truly appreciate the level of care and attention to detail that you put into your work. Your expertise and dedication to your craft are evident in the quality of the work you do. I am grateful for the way you have preserved and improved upon a piece of cycling history, and I know that my bike will continue to serve me well for many more years to come.
Thank you again for your outstanding work. I would highly recommend Retro Velo Projects to anyone looking for top quality bike servicing and upgrades.

A very happy customer. Dave Saxton collecting his beloved 753 Raleigh road bike from our associate Adam Stevenson of On Yer Bike of Mansfield.
Steve collecting his Colnago Super road bike
I have always wanted a Colnago bike, especially in the Saronni red colour. I finally found my dream bike at Retroveloprojects having seen it featured on their website. I was pleasantly surprised when I collected the bike. It's stunning, it looks and feels brand new. You would never think that some of the components are over 40 years old. Riding the bike is so enjoyable and such a brilliant experience, especially on a sunny day. It really does turn a few heads.

British Bike Hire Managing Director, James Akerman, hands over the newly restored Team Raleigh bicycle to businessman Andrew Kerr.
"Ive bought a piece of local history. Nottingham had a thriving industry of hosiery, mining and manufacturing. Just like micro breweries are filling the void left by the large brewing companies, businesses like Retrovelo have a niche in the demise of the cycle manufacturing industry. At a time when cycling is booming. There will be many happy customers"
Mr Andrew Kerr.

I have a few bikes, steel, carbon, aluminium, I had always admired the Eddy Merckx bike in the orange Molteni colour, I was looking around various sites but somebody recommended I looked contacted Retro Velo Projects, we discussed my requirements and finally agreed a very reasonable price, I learnt that the Eddy Merckx was an actual early Colnago Super, Merckx rode Colnago’s early in his career, not only did RVP have one in stock but in my size.
RVP kept me posted throughout the build process, the finished product was amazing, the large flange Campagnolo hubs had been polished and inserts painted in the Italian colours, lots of attention to detail, when the bike was delivered it was if it had come straight out of a showroom, it was and is stunning, I had also forgotten what a joy it was to ride on steel once again.
